Q. How can you sell hearing aids so cheaply?
A: Because we manufacturer
the hearing aids ourselves, there are no middle men (or women :). Using the Internet, we bypass the distribution channel of audiologists, dispensers, and physicians. When you buy a hearing aid from any of these professionals, they mark up the cost of the product so they can make a profit. We feel this is an unnecessary cost that consumers should not have to pay. That is why our hearing aid prices are sometimes up to 75% off what you would pay a hearing professional.

Q: How do I know a hearing aid will work for me?
A: If you have filled out the questionnaire and your points are above 6
and below 16 then you should be satisfied after
purchasing. If you have an audiogram, you can also

Q: Do you have a
Warranty and How Long is it?
A:
We have a 12 month manufacturer's warranty. If
anything goes wrong with the hearing aid during this
time, just return it with a check for $40 for
shipping and handling. There are certain
circumstances where 12 month warranty is void.

Q: Do I need a prescription or a hearing test
from a professional?
A: Neither are required, however to meet FDA requirements, you
must "click" on a waiver form before you checkout. This form acknowledges that you believe you are a candidate for a hearing aid and that you waive any requirement for an
ear examination from a physician.

Q: How do I know it will fit properly?
A: Most hearing aids are designed for either the right or left ear.
Our Digi-Ear in the
ear hearing aids are uniquely designed to allow them to be used for either the right or left ear.
Each Digi-Ear hearing aid comes with three different soft
tips that allow you to choose the best fit for your
ear canal. the first few weeks, you will experiment with "fitting" the hearing aid to your ear and until you find a comfortable fit. Please see our After You Receive page for more information.
Our Melody brand of
BTE open fit hearing aids fit the left or right ear,
depending on the tube you order at the same time you
order your hearing aid. The Melody Open fit hearing
aids do not require a mold; you just put the battery
in the hearing aid, place it behind the ear, insert
the tube and bud into your ear canal, and you have
your amplified hearing back. Please see our After You Receive page for more information.

Q: How long will my hearing aid last?
A: Your hearing aid will last for
at least 8 - 10 years if you take care of it. If, a few years down the road, something happens to your hearing aid, it can always be repaired. If you take advantage of our extended warranty when you purchase the item, we repair it at no cost to you if it needs repair within the warranty period.
After about a year, you may need to replace a
soft tip (Digi-Ear) or a tube and bud (Melody
Open Fit).

Q: Will a hearing aid help me with a tinnitus problem?
A:
It might, although usually not. A hearing aid might
mask the ringing sound caused by tinnitus. The
degree of the result depends on severity of the
tinnitus and of the individual. However, we
strongly suggest you do not purchase one of our
hearing aids to try to mask a tinnitus problem...you
will probably be disappointed.

Q: How long do your batteries last?
A: Our
312 batteries will last 190 - 200 hours for the Digi-Ear
hearing aids. If you take the Digi-Ear hearing aids
off before you go to bed and open the battery door,
each battery should last about 18 days.
For the Melody hearing aids, which take smaller #10 batteries,
they last about 70-80
hours. If you take the Melody hearing aids off
before you go to bed and open the battery door, each
battery should last about 6-7 days. We offer replacement batteries in packs of 6. |
